Thank you for giving time for my asking...I really want to call the SSA but due to our family financial status we dont have money to make call for the SSA..(overseas calls)I have no job here, at the same time taking care of my mother...I have a part time job only as a Family driver. Is there a way I can connect with them thru this comment section.

Romeo, First, I deleted your father's SS number. This is a public board and you do not want that information out there. Second, you need to contact the Social Security Administration at (800) 772-1213 for additional information regarding his death benefit.

Good day to you, my fathers name is Romeo G. Urbien Sr. I am his son, Romeo L. Urbien Jr. How can I claim the death benefits from the SSA, my father died last Oct. 17,2006 at the Mariana Islands. My mother is weak and under treatment due to cancer of the throat. Can you give me an advice what to do?

Your best bet would be to call the Social Security Administration at (800) 772-1213. Representatives there would be able to assist you with this information.

I have not received the Social Security payment of $255.00 due to me, because of the death of my husband Gordon Campbell. I have not been able to get any information on it.

I have been looking after my two aunts who never had children. They have both passed away. How do I go about getting the death benefits. I have paid for their cremations.

i was just wondering since my kids father passed away if they would be able to get social security benifits since he had benifits

According to the Social Security website, as a child, you can still receive benefits if:

To get benefits, a child must have:

A parent(s) who is disabled or retired and entitled to Social Security benefits; or A parent who died after having worked long enough in a job where he or she paid Social Security taxes. The child also must be:

Unmarried; Younger than 18; 18-19 years old and a full-time student (no higher than grade 12); or 18 or older and disabled. (The disability must have started before age 22.)

I have not received the SS death benefit $ of $255.00....My spouse Ronald David Atnip 1/28/38 passed away on 8/28/08. I did call SS and they told me it would processed in September.

Hi Becke,

I would contact the Social Security Administration at (800) 772-1213. From there, the SSA will send your some forms to fill out. I do know that special do...entation, including a death certificate, may be needed to receive this death benefit. Good luck.
