I recently came across a person needing assistance because someone she loved died from suicide. I came across these websites that would be a good starting point for anyone looking for support due to this type of death. * http://www.survivorsofsuicide.com/ Survivors of Suicide |

This is great information. I think suicide is one of the most difficult types of death to deal with. I knew someone, a teenager, who committed suicide, and I can tell you, even if you just know the person briefly, a tremendous amount of guilt (at least for me) occurred when I found out. There is always the sense that you could have/should have done SOMETHING. Even if it was just to be a bit kinder.I wish more people that contemplate suicide would try to get help, but it’s nice to know that there’s support for the folks they left behind. |
